About
Thank you for visiting my website and taking a look at my work.
Rosabelle was set up in 2017, through a desire to channel a lifelong love for animals into my work,
following several years creating art in many subjects for UK and worldwide sales and licensing,
-
At the core of my intentions was a desire to use my skills to help raise awareness and give back to the subjects
that have given joy to me personally.
Over time I become more drawn towards the subjects that are most vulnerable, endangered or rescue,
particularly the big cats, so fierce and strong yet so loving to their young and so vulnerable to many threats.
-
I am drawn towards the emotional essence of the subject,
with a particular love for capturing and recreating the relationships that animals have with their young.
I like to portray how sentient, intelligent, loving and sensitive animals are,
and I do this through a softly detailed style using pastels, graphite and coloured pencil,
with original pieces now in homes across the world, including America, Europe, the UK and Australia,
-
A deeper insight
As a child immersed in books and drawing and with a love of animals, my work came to be greatly influenced by my life experiences,
A survivor of childhood and adult domestic abuse, which included being locked up for days and with the consequences of
this often outweighing the origins, drawing and the natural world became my one positive constant.
As touched on above, I came to understand the wider meaning of the plight so many animals are living under.
This wasn't an ideal path, but I feel truly blessed to have reached a place where I feel I am exactly where I am meant to be,
where I can help make a positive difference
and I'm looking forward to seeing what I can achieve with my art from here.
-
I hope by being open about my journey so far I can inspire and encourage anyone to never give up hope.
