A gentle portrait evoking the ethereal grace and strength of the elusive snow leopard.
I chose to recreate a winter scene using my imagination over the reference's rocky background to
highlight the often harsh habitats these mysterious cats survive in and endure, whilst retaining a soft and melancholy mood
to the drawing.
Images show how it may look in a silver frame with a soft cream accent mount..
This drawing is the first created for a collection entitled "Silent Skies" featuring beautiful wildlife in winter scenery.

This drawing was created during a month where I had 12 hospital appointments, 2 surgeries, a biopsy and on the last day of the month a diagnosis of metastatic cancer.
I worked on the drawing for just over a month, following a gallery's artist call for a group show.
The show never went ahead for some reason, but through it's creation the drawing gave me a beautiful distraction to the chaos unfolding within me.
The eyes each took 2 attempts and I initially coloured a black background, but this felt too harsh and more calming brown felt right.
The sale of the drawing includes a professionally cut double cream mount/matt, ready for framing, but the drawing can be sold without this if preferred,
and a reduction in the price will reflect this.
This truly is a statement piece and a very personal drawing.

This large drawing was created during my first cycles of chemotherapy. I found that diving into the intricate
details gave my mind somewhere to go to and the title was inspired by a need to feel positive during this time.
I wanted to create strength and vulnerability as one.
