This drawing was created during a month where I had 12 hospital appointments, 2 surgeries, a biopsy and on the last day of the month a diagnosis of metastatic cancer.
I worked on the drawing for just over a month, finding it gave me a beautiful distraction to the chaos unfolding.
The drawing includes a professionally cut double cream mount/matt, ready for framing, but can be sold without if preferred, in which case I will reduce the cost.
This truly is a statement piece and a very special drawing.

This drawing was created whilst undergoing my months of chemotherapy, finishing it a few days before treatment completed in January 2024.
A silent cry, a future assumed gradually emerging uncertain, when thoughts come undone and drawing became a place to escape.
I chose the title through a need to convey what helped me to keep going during that time. I am now on a new treatment programme for 2 years ahead.
