A B O U T T H E A R T
I create softly detailed drawings of animals and wildlife inspired by the emotion the subject evokes.
I enjoy creating a high level of detail and love to see the subjects come to life in front of me.
Capturing the gentle elements is what I aspire to recreate more than anything
in order to show their closeness to ourselves and their value to the world and all of our futures.
My medium:
I work in pastel or pencil, using high quality, lightfast brands in order to ensure
the longevity of the original artwork and in appreciation of the investment placed in my work by collectors.
I especially love the challenge of working in monochrome, re-creating an animal's emotion
using just one black and one white pencil.
Though I would love to draw every animal and creature there is I am especially
drawn to the plight of the big cats and therefore focus much of my time creating artworks
to help bring awareness to their particular vulnerabilities and challenges.
